
Wine Culture
For over 25 years I have lived my passion and have made it my vocation; the love of wine. After my graduation as a sommelier in Koblenz in 2002, I wrote and was responsible for wine lists in the best restaurants in Germany. For example, in the starred restaurant ENTE in the Hotel Nassauer Hof in Wiesbaden, together with a team of four sommeliers, I have advised guests with a wine list of over 1500 positions.
The 3 – Star Restaurant Aqua in the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Wolfsburg, was set up with a wine list of 650 items and in my function as a maître, I was at the side of the sommelier and the contact person of the guests.
In the Hotel Brandenburger Hof in Berlin, the StarRestaurant Die Quadriga, among me as maître and head sommelier, the gourmet award "Germany's best Riesling Menu".
In Hotel Waldorf Astoria In Berlin I built a wine list of 750 items and was a maître and head sommelier, not only for the Gourmet-Restaurant of Pierre Gagnaire responsible, but wrote the wine offer for the entire hotel. These services were, among others, from the Aral Schlemmer Atlas 2015-2019 with the listing at the TOP 50 sommeliers in Germany rewarded.
